Assistant Electrical Design Engineer

My name is Eddie and I am now an Assistant Electrical Design Engineer. I was previously concerned about finding a good job in a field where I am qualified but have no first hand experience outside of the college work that I have done. I was concerned because I have a mobility issue and surrounding chronic health issues that I need to attend a variety of appointments to manage effectively. Equally Placed as a specialised inclusive recruitment agent, really assisted me in finding the right job and in applying for it also. My role now includes conceptual design, land field commissioning of electrical systems and equipment. Im fortunate to be able to work in a hybrid way – blending homeworking with office work. I also have had an adjustment made to my core working hours, and am really enjoying working my role on a flexitime basis. I dont think I would of found this role had I of not been in contact with Equally Placed.
