Bio of an Experience EDI Professional with Lived Experience of Transioning at Work:
Jace joined the Inclusive Employers team in March 2023 after 9 years in the Construction industry, where he worked in a variety of roles from Quality Assurance, Health, Safety & Wellbeing, and Learning & Development. While in this sector he found his passion for inclusion and diversity by helping found and lead an LGBTQ+ and allies employee network. Creating a safe working environment and platforming LGBTQ+ voices in the workplace became a particular focus after his experience of transitioning at work and making an active choice to become an ambassador and visible role model.
Combining his passion with his experience, Jace focused on developing a robust strategy and action plan that led a network culture change where the wellbeing, sustainable growth and career development of the network and its members were at the heart of everything the network did.
Jace’s passion for learning and continuous improvement often result in taking on voluntary positions and undertaking additional qualifications, such as being a registered First Aider and Mental Health First Aider.
Jace’s lived experience has made him a confident, positive, and kind disruptor who likes to challenge ‘the way things have always been’.
