WELCOME TO Jason Miles Summers

EDI Consultant, Writer, Trainer and Speaker:

Providing advice, guidance, engaging content, strategic insight, training, and data analysis, I work with organisations ready to build truly inclusive workplaces.

Trans. Proactive. Practical. I combine lived experience with proven strategies to drive real change through an intersectional, wellbeing-centred approach.

About Me:

I have worked in the private sector for the last 15 years, including nearly a decade in the construction industry across a range of functions. My experience spans Quality and Compliance, Health, Safety and Wellbeing, Learning and Development, and HR, giving me a grounded understanding of how people, culture, and inclusion underpin both organisational health and commercial success. Alongside this, I have also contributed to public and private sector projects on a pro bono basis.

While in the construction industry, I was the first openly trans employee to transition within the organisation, an experience that profoundly shaped my approach to inclusion work. I combine lived experience with expertise to guide meaningful conversations about inclusion and belonging. Whether exploring psychological safety, equity of opportunity, or the most common barriers to inclusion, I lead with intersectionality and wellbeing in mind.

I provide practical, actionable advice, engaging training and content, strategic insight, and data analysis support with the aim of helping organisations embed inclusion in a way that’s both meaningful and measurable. My goal is simple: build empathy, humanise the experience of others, and inspire action.

I’m known as a calm, approachable, positive leader who challenges the status quo while empowering others to bring their whole selves to work.

What I Can Do For Your Organisation:

I have experience across private, public, and third-sector organisations. This breadth of experience has given me exposure to diverse workplace environments, a wide range of stakeholders, and varying organisational cultures.

I have been recognised for embedding inclusive practices, championing underrepresented groups, and advising senior leadership teams across different businesses and at different stages of their inclusion journey.

In short, I work to help organisations embed inclusion into every layer of their operations.

  • I can design and deliver training and workshops across a wide range of inclusion topics, from everyday inclusion and the UK Equality Act 2010, all the way through to more complex topics such as intersectionality, privilege/power, imposter syndrome, and psychological safety.
  • I am able to produce clear, actionable guidance in multiple formats, including thought pieces, blogs, practical guides, and social media content.
  • I have extensive experience setting up, maintaining, and improving staff networks, as well as developing reciprocal mentoring programmes. At two separate companies, I have mentored Chief Executives.
  • I am also highly data-driven and confident at analysing large demographic datasets to extract insights, make recommendations and report back. I am also capable of assessing benchmarking submissions, ensuring inclusion initiatives are measurable, effective, and continuous.

.

I have several professional qualifications in Health, Safety & Wellbeing, Inclusion and Project Management.

Inclusion isn’t just policy; it’s practice, culture, and people, and that’s where I make a difference. Get in touch to find out how we can work together to create a workplace where everyone can thrive.
