Position: CNC Miller (Night Shift)
Location: Sheffield
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines equipped with Heidenhain controls.
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine machining requirements.
- Perform tool changes, offsets, and adjustments to ensure accurate and efficient machining processes.
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards.
- Conduct in-process inspections to verify dimensional accuracy and adherence to specifications.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production schedules and workflow efficiency.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CNC Miller, with expertise in operating machines with Heidenhain controls.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T symbols.
- Strong understanding of machining fundamentals, tooling selection, and cutting parameters.
- Ability to perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Willingness to work night shifts and flexibility to accommodate changing production demands.
