About
We are a Further Education College in South Wales, recently crowned FE College of the Year at the 2019 TES FE Awards, awarded Gold at Mind’s Workplace Wellbeing Index Awards 2020 and graded Double Excellent by Estyn. We are also placed 24th in the Times Top 100 Best Not For Profit Organisations to Work For in 2020. We are proud to call ourselves an award winning college and, over the last few years, we have won many awards – as learners, staff and our college as a whole.
As one of the largest employers in Bridgend County Borough, we’re always on the lookout for talented individuals to join us here at Bridgend College, where it’s never “just a job”. We look for motivated and innovative individuals who want to work for an organisation where they are encouraged to be themselves and continuously develop.
If you think you have what it takes to join our award-winning College, this could be the beginning of something really exciting!
We currently operate from 4 sites (Bridgend, Queens Road, Pencoed and Maesteg) and have lots of exciting opportunities across a variety of our functions. Our campuses have an array of facilities including a construction academy, 400 seat theatre, a picturesque land-based campus and centre (home to a variety of animals) and a professional development training centre. Our brand new state-of-the-art STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) Academy opened in September 2021.
We are actively seeking to improve representation from all sections of the community and promoting equality of opportunity. We welcome applications from everyone, including people from different backgrounds and communities, and of different ages. To help eliminate unconscious bias from our recruitment process, we ask all applicants to anonymise their application wherever possible, so that we only shortlist based on skills, ability and experience.
We are proud to be a Disability Confident Leader and we guarantee to interview anyone with a disability if their application meets the essential criteria for the post, and consider them on their abilities. Our mission is to ‘Be All That You Can Be’ – and we really mean it. We believe everyone should have the opportunity to be their true authentic selves, and we ensure all of our staff and students are given the opportunity to become ‘extraordinary’.
